Members
The Membership of the Prince Hall Freemason and Eastern Star Charitable Foundation consists of the warranted organizations such as the Masonic Lodges and Order of the Eastern Star Chapters that fall under the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the District of Columbia (established in 1848).
Prince Hall Freemasons
The Prince Hall Freemasons are a branch of the North American Freemasons, founded in the 1700s by Prince Hall, with a rich African American heritage.
Order of the Eastern Star
With over 500,000 members worldwide, the Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization that allows both men and women to join. The deep fraternal connection between Eastern Star members is strengthened by the high principles of character building, spiritual conviction, and charity. Worldwide, the organization has raised millions of dollars to support various charities, including the Prince Hall Freemason and Eastern Star Charitable Foundation.
Organizational Structure
The corporate functions are conducted and managed by the Prince Hall Freemason and Eastern Star Charitable Foundation Board of Directors. The Executive Members of the Board of Directors include the Chairman, Vice Chairman, President and Vice President. In addition, there are 13 Directors who are elected by the Membership to serve terms of 3 years.
The membership of the PHFESCF is comprised of over 3,000 active individuals within the subordinate lodges of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the District of Columbia and the subordinate chapters of the Georgiana Thomas Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
